  • Four Thirds User DNS problem

Well, I am rather annoyed and frustrated that something has gone wrong with the DNS service for our Four Thirds User site.

We thought we had arranged for DNS services to be transferred to a new provider several weeks ago in order to manage the end of our contract with the previous provider, but something has obviously gone wrong, for which I can only apologise, I hope the site will be back to normal as soon as possible.

Four Thirds User DNS has been restored but will take up to 24 hours to propagate around the world.

And I was going to go & check lens comparison photos there too. That's OK. I can survive till tomorrow.

        Thanks for letting us know.

It should eventually appear here too.

Still down for me and I'm only across Lake Huron from the server (assuming the site is still hosted in Michigan).
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Yes, I believe the server is physically located in Lansing, Michigan.

You might need to reset your Blackberry's browser - I was able to get the site normally in one window but refreshing the DNS Made Easy page didn't change it in another.

It's now OK in Australia (at least where I am).

Cleared the browser cache and restarted the BlackBerry but still no luck.

Sorry to hear that some of you are still not able to access FTU - but it is out of my hands now; your IPS's DNS servers will eventually be updated.

I've not got time to investigate at the moment, but have OpenDNS's servers updated yet. If so, David and others could temporarily divert their ISPs DNS to the OpenDNS IP addresses.
I used this dodge when this site's DNS was corrupted or missing on eone of the BTInternet DNS servers. Depending on how I accessed the site, and where from I either got on or got 404 error.
                            Best Regards
                            Bill

I can now load the main page but when I try to open a thread I get the DNS message.
