So, based on the Wex price you are paying an extra £400 for Live ND, HHHR, Starry sky, better eye/face AF, in body charging/power, joystick, slimmer grip, better video and a new badge compared to the EM1.2.
For my style of shooting, I would have happily paid that to have those things 'retro-fitted'.
Would I upgrade? TBH, probably not, as the financial hit would be greater than that new price difference. Fortunately for me, I am in the market for a second camera to work alongside my 1.2. I think this will do nicely, thank you
I am having difficulty understanding the market for the M1X now though?

          Olympus specs comparison page here:

I wonder what “RAW recordable” means - it is less than the MkII - at up to 286 vs 321. It is the only spec item that I can see as a lower rating.

Fine pair of real-life reviews by wildlife photographer Petr Bambousek: http://www.sulasula.com/en/olympus-e...-costa-rica-1/

Illustrates perfectly why taking the time to learn Olympus cameras pays such dividends. It also explains why most reviewers and amateurs on full frame forums don’t bother to do this, and so never get beyond the size of the sensor and (mostly irrelevant IMHO) noise at 100% on screen.
              Regards,
              Mark

Thanks for the link that is a good read. I had found his site before but somehow forgotten about it.

I didn't realise it comes with a MyMenu feature which is certainly a step in the right direction. It could easily be retrofitted by a firmware update into most Oly bodies, but somehow I don't think they will.

Nikon had this over 10 years ago.

BTW, the Capture One (£300) offer is not available at the show.

Anyone noticed in the spec comparison, update to E-M1X firmware to 1.2

                  this update notes:

                  • NEW

                    02/12/2020 Firmware update 1.2

Possible to use focus stacking photography with M.Zuikio Digital ED 12-45mm F4 PRO.

When EVF Auto Switch is set, you can select how the viewfinder is displayed when the monitor is open.

Off: Disables the eye sensor. Press the display button to switch between the EVF display and the monitor display.

On1: Eye sensor operates regardless of whether the rear monitor is open or closed. Press the display button to switch between the rear-panel monitor Live View display/Super Control Panel display.

On2: The eye sensor does not operate while the rear-panel monitor is open. Press the display button to switch between the rear-panel monitor Live View display/Super Control Panel display.

The eye & face detect auto focus feature looks very good indeed in Robins video. Very appealing.
                    All the gear no idea

I'm pleased that Robin Wong made sense of the Star AF feature - as I now understand it, it's effectively an automatic 'infinity set', which is useful in the absence of an infinity stop on fly-by-wire lenses. It'd make a nice firmware upgrade for the Mk.ii

Do Capture One add new camera support to their previous versions? This C1 offer for the latest version may be worth taking advantage of. Nearly every time I've got a new camera I got caught out by it not being supported by the RAW processing software (apart from Olympus Workspace of course).

Can't see enough benefits (for me personally) of the EM1.3 over the EM1.2 to tempt me. Unlike the difference between the EM1.1 and EM1.2. The large body is much better in the latter. Skipping a version is generally the way to go and I suspect that is what many people will do in relation to the EM1.3.

One thing that'll take a bit of getting used to is the MENU button over the other side
