    Re: Lovely Australian 'Summer Beauty'!

The tree is now planted (on Sunday) just before a storm came.

Looking past the two dead trees (waiting to be cut down) in the foreground it can be seen (through the rain) in the distance.

It's now Monday & the morning after the storm with a good drop of rain overnight.

    Jake checks out the tree.

It looks like it has survived OK.

Thanks everyone for looking & humouring me.

Well done Ross! I wish it the very best of luck - you must keep us informed of its progress with more photos next flowering season.
You have a lovely bush land setting there, it must attract a lot of bird life.

Thanks Lyn. After we (my wife actually) put it in & I grabbed the few shots, a few large splots of rain started to fall. We had visions of it turning to heavy hail, but thankfully it didn't. I think I might have ventured out there with an umberella if it had.

The bush (with some weeds) does attract various birds at different times, but it's the free hand out of seed that really brings them in large numbers. My favourite being the King Parrot.
