Cathrine, the 300mm f2.8 seems to quickly achieve focus but then go oof for a split second before achieving focus again and confirming. Not a problem on fairly static birds but hopeless for in-flight shots. It does seem a little unbalanced when used hand held although it would probably feel better with the HLD-6 grip - if I ever get mine!
In contrast, like you with the E-PL3, the 50-200mm will hunt for ages before occasionally confirming focus even when it is still oof.

) The lens actually felt heavier with the E-PL3 than with the E5 due to lack of balance.
