A fantastic `feelgood` camera. Cannot really explain it but love using mine.

Looks like air bubbles under the plastic film protector to me?

Ahh, sounds like you've seen it.... Believing in a fair trade, as I do, I'd probably feel quite bad if that were the case.

I would do too, some people delight in the bargain, but it just doesn't feel right to me.
Bought a tripod and head in a charity shop for a silly low price.
Kept the tripod and sold the head, took the cash I got for it back to the charity shop. Just felt the right thing to do, daft maybe, but can't change the way we are.

Very noble thing to do but I think I would have been inclined to give them a cheque for the amount, made payable to the charity.

Why? Cash went in the till, they put the amount down against a CD sale (Linkin Park- Hybrid Theory) and gave me a receipt.

I think it depends on why they are selling it & they might be happy with what they're receiving. If they are regretfully lowering the price because of the bubbles then maybe you might be justified in feeling that way. When you receive it, you might think you should've paid less (the bubbles might be hiding real damage underneath), but hopefully not.

All's fair in love and eBay!

I once bought a Fuji XE1 on eBay at a good price because the seller said the flash wasn't working. That didn't bother me since I rarely use on-camera flash anyhow. It turned out that the reason the flash wasn't working was because silent mode had been set which disabled the flash!

On the other hand, the camera smelt like it had been left in the smoking room at Heathrow airport for a few months. It took a long time for the pong to subside and the strap never lost the aroma at all - even after being hung outside in the fresh air and the sun for over a week!

So, it's here and quite frankly looks damned good. Thought the case was glued on, at first, until I noticed underneath....

I attached the first lens I could get my hands...

But what the bloody hell is this?

And popped out for a couple of quick snaps in the local park, as we lost the last of the good light...

That does look like a bit of a bargain. The remote shutter release cable suggests that the camera might have spent a fair amount of its life on top of a tripod.
