Just an update that I tried a Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Power O.I.S. on the EPL6 after MPB thought the IS would work, but I could see no evidence of it working after doing test shots with lens IS turned on in the EPL6 and IBIS switched off, it has gone back to MPB. They do have an OM10 mkii body which I am considering purchasing, but the whole IBIS thing has made me a bit nervous ! Any know issues or things to look out for on the OM10 Mkii?
nope they had a very good rep .. don't recall seeing any online moans

      Hi griffijg

Many thanks for your reply, it is reassuring to hear the MK ll has a good reputation, as the IBIS issue with the EPL6 was a bit of a set back and had me questioning my plans, but I will probably go ahead and get the MK ll from MPB I have seen.

From my brief time using the EPL6 the E-M10 is going to be interesting and certainly a very different experience to my Pentax K70, have high hopes for good street photography with the Olympus. Am I right in saying it has focus bracketing? if so that would be very interesting.

      Very friendly and helpful forum

I had a m10 mark ii and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend one of those.

Hi, just wanted to say I have got my m 10 Mk ll and what a beautiful little camera, took some photos round Bristol with it and very pleased, so thanks again for all your advice. I have now also got the 45mm 1.8 as it was very reasonable and should be good in low light, can any one recommend a suitable lens hood (not Olympus OEM of course !) can I get away with a shorter hood?

Look inside your lens cover it will give a filter size .. just order the same size screw on lens hood .i.e 49mm 58mm etc

I don't have that lens, but it looks like the hood is an LH40B; plenty of pattern ones on eBay from about £5.50 UK landed

Hi all, Has anyone used a Pentax K mount to micro four thirds adaptor, if so would anyone be able to recommend one that is not crazy expensive but quality is good. Have read a lot about cheaper ones being hit and miss on fit, finish and infinity focus accuracy, would be nice to use some of my Pentax glass on my e-m10 MKll.

Would think you only need a dumb adaptor ,no contacts so you have to use MF and focus peaking .i used a Nikon 300mm f 4 for a long while like that and even got b.i.f with it. ..SRS Microsystems is your best shop to enquire to

Hi, Would someone be able to advise how I can set a different button to use as the exposure lock if I assign the FN1 button to use as back button focus on my E-M10 MK2 please.

word of advice DONT do it ..bbf is really for slower focussing dslr I have always found the shutter button gives superior results .. do not try turning your mirrorless into a dslr

Where on earth do you get this outdated notion from? Many serious photographers with mirrorless cameras use bbf as I do myself in some situations. You may have found the shutter button gives superior results to bbf, but I doubt there is any evidence to support why it should be so.

Fair enough, Jeff, and I am with you - I don't use BBF, but the question was 'how to', not 'should I'

You may be right as the Olympus is a different animal to my Pentax K70, it remains to be seen if back button focus will be something I use permanently but find it useful for locking focus and then re composing the shot. But would really like to lock the exposure separately as well to have the best of both worlds, especially as I'm now trying to lock off exposure on a middle grey tone which could be a card I carry or something else close to a middle tone..

Also just for interest I purchased an URTH Pentax K mount to M 4/3 lens adapter to use some of my vintage Pentax lenses on the Oly, very please with the build quality and fit to the camera body and lens.

I have heard that the Urth adapters are well made and good quality, and far less expensive than the Novoflex equivalents (which are also said to be very good). It's good to hear that yours confirms that.
