  • Photo show postponed until September

Eek feel sorry for all those who were travelling from afar, and subsequently have lost out. Looking forward to the virus eventually disappearing, I heard today that you can catch it more than once like a cold scary.

On a different note September might mean I can actually make it happy days from a selfish point of view. Never been before.

You too Phil, fingers crossed the future date wont clash, plus gives me chance to save some pennies.

I received an email about an hour ago. TBH, I was half expecting it. Saved me some money anyway.

Inevitable with the timing, and a good decision. I hope people are able to recover related expenses.

Luckily I had made the choice a while back not to bother ,but feel sorry for those that will lose out financially .. how long before the olympics are cancelled as under present circumstances that’s a disaster waiting to happen . Italy is also now on total lockdown the whole country ,

It's possible that could be postponed to later in the year too.

I believe that most of these expenses should be recoverable. At the very least you can resort to a charge-back via your credit/debit card issuer.

Flights booked and wallet ready to late to cancel without losing flight ticket costs. Now a change to plans I will visit my grandchildren in Cheltenham if they will have me!

As others have said I was half expecting it. A shame but the organisers have been decisive. I do feel for those who have already spent money on travelling and hotels. Hope they can get some money back.

Personally I had decided not to go this year anyway but as it looks like September I may change my mind by then.

In the meantime I was supposed to be going on a photographic trip to Tuscany at the end of May. I can't see that going ahead but I can see me not getting my money back from Ryanair

I have my ticket and car parking. If it had been going ahead I would have attended but I do feel that this is the safer option and I hope I can make the September date. From the FAQ it looks like the ticket and pre-paid car park will be re-scheduled with a refund for those who can not make the new date (exact date yet to be announced). I feel sorry for those who have hotels and public transport paid for.

Apart from being a disappointment to us punters, it will also be a commercial challenge to the manufacturers, no doubt Olympus were expecting to get a subtantial launch boost for the OMD MKiii, so will they introduce some major discounts for online orders to help get the camera out on the streets. (Even if the streets are deserted).

Yes but the timeline, at the moment, doesn't match. The best hope is that things have calmed down enough by then, end of May, and I can go enjoy mediaeval Cortona and Sienna and of course the superb food and wine.

I have all available bodily bits crossed even though that is making my eyes water.
