OM System reconditioned stock - 35% off until the end of the month
Oh no I shouldn’t be tempted there’s some good stuff there for 35% off, my funds are going on private dentistry at the moment..got to be able to eat 😂
I walked away from a 75mm f1.8 going for £300 in a CeX shop yesterday. It was a silver one and looked a bit beat up..I don’t like silver anyway. OM don’t have it in the reconditioned stock.
Reconditioned 8-25mm and 8mm FE in stock on there with 35% off would be good deals though- dodged a bullet as I already had both! Reconditioned 8-25mm for around £584 with the discount could be a great buy for someone.
A reconditioned OM-1 body for £1749 when you can get a new OM-1 mkII for £1579 from Cotswold Cameras or HDEW (which includes a 3 year warranty).

I wonder if something is going amiss as the site updates live stock levels.
When I first noticed the offer yesterday, but couldn't retrieve the discount code, the 90mm was in stock,
A little while ago today, when I saw your new thread, it was out of stock, but when I refreshed the the page it was available again
A further refresh crashed pages 2-4, but page 1 was OK; opened in another browser, and back in stock on page 4, but at a higher price..
Tried to buy one in the first browser, and the page crashed again.

I have a black 75mm f/1.8 with original box, etc in excellent condition that I have been thinking of selling. No idea about value, do you want to forego a molar?
Let me know and I’ll set a suggestion for the price.

The beauty of not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise and is not preceded by periods of anxiety
The good news is my supposedly refurbished E-M5 Mk3 arrived yesterday.
The bad news is that it seems faulty.
When you operate, or even touch, the function lever, the camera sometimes turns off, locks up, and can only be brought back to life by removing/replacing the battery.
After a few tries, it looked like the battery was discharged, but it wouldn't re-charge in either the new charger, or one I had already.
I assumed a dodgy battery, so I pulled a known good one out of my Stylus 1s and tried that.
Exactly the same symptoms, and that battery is now dead too; again it won't re-charge.
An application of a voltmeter shows 0v on all the battery terminals, so it looks like the camera shorts out the battery and blows the internal short circuit protection within the battery.
Ho Hum, I wonder if OM Solutions will replace my existing battery as well as the camera?
Edit, rapid response from OM-Solutions via email to my webform query, product registered, and submitted for repair/replacement.
As soon as the repair was accepted, there were address labels to download, and drop the box off with DHL; all very efficient. :-)
Ian, It happens, so not overly concerned, but suitably impressed with the quick and efficient response.
It remains to be seen whether they will replace my own battery.
Now on the way back to Portugal.
