Firstly, many congratulations to Our Sailor in Chief, TravelingChick. A very interesting view, never mind a Point of View. Well done Celeste..
In a crowded 2nd place equal, IainMacD with his Toad in the Road (made a change from being in a hole,) a fortunate catch there Iain, I hope you moved it into the grass.
Also in 2nd place, rchammer caught multiple doorways, in an old Abbey or castle. Well spotted and taken.
And shakeyHands completed the No 2 rank, with his Someone's point of view. Looking backwards from the car, and saw a very striking wall painting. Well seen....
All with 6 votes.
In a very crowded 3rd place, Wornish joined the throng with his Worms Eye View. I hope you did not harm the worm Dave...
Also in 3rd place, Scottwin, You were very brave there Scott, the argument could have turned onto you.
griffljg joined the 3rd place rank with Look up and reach for the sky. A striking photo of three poles, wooden ones that is. Great shot Larry...
And finally, also in 3rd place, rustyarrow's Am I in the way? a super shot of a hare. I was about to shout duck, but no, it was a hare..
5 votes each
All these super winners will go towards the 2024 E-Group Photographer of the Year. Well done all...
4th place equal went to many also. blu-by-u's Oohhh la la was a real-life shot of a dainty lady being admired, Loved that one Henry. Tram's The Only Way Is Up was a well-seen colourful photo. Well seen and taken. Steveee Literally a point of view. A B/W land/mountainscape. and a funny pipe..Lovely shot. OM User Its all about ME! A really well-caught street photo, well seen, and certainly well taken. Super shot Jeremy. And ronidog's Monet says his paintings improved when he had the glass replaced in his favourite window overlooking the garden. Another clever photo, a personal favourite. All with 4 votes.
In 5th place equal, 090657's From his point of view, hopeless. You should not have misbehaved Tim. I hope they let you out quickly..LadyG Upside down, a flower head being weighed down under by the frost, well seen Carol. Both with 2 points.
In 6th place equal, another crowded place, Dave in Wales Spoon Views, a clever photo of the sky, from a spoon's point of view, and a really good IQ, well seen Dave. Keith-369's Difference in point of view, a Coot sorting out a Moorhen. A well caught Wildlife scene, well taken Keith. patileac's Camera takes a long, hard look at itself, another very clever interpretation, again a personal favourite. richard with olympus's Robin Who are you Looking at ? A robin with attitude portrait. Lovely birds, what had you done to annoy him Richard..? AJW's Art installation, Cairngorms Scenic Photo Post 14, Glen Avon, Tomintoul. A landscape with a difference, could not quite make out the sides though. Maybe Andy can tell us how he did this. and finally linus's 1884 Crossness Pumping Station London. linus also followed up this photo with several others of the Pumping Station. Gosh, they build things well in those days, a very interesting photo there.... 1 vote each...
Followers up include Mj224, with a Welsh Point of view, just wish we were doing a bit better in 6 Nations...Nutmeg47 POV? This may not be everyone's cup of tea..A really nice photo, calm and peaceful, as was my cup of tea just taken. Lovely photo. and last but certainly not least, CarolA's Lunch is pointing your way. A very well-capted Wildlife photo. I think we all would have been proud of this photo. But as all three of us, just not enough votes to go around...
An excellent Challenge, especially for January. Stats include 24 submissions, 72 votes from 24 individual voters.
Many thanks to all entrants and voters, good to see support for the E-Group forum. And it keeps me out of trouble to do the biz......
