Re: Anita and the Cat - Art Nude
Graham I love the idea and the execution of the image (superb lighting on the subject/s), but for me cropping the blown top part down to just above door arch improves it a lot for me, try scrolling the image to cut it off.
I have to admit I was waiting for the obvious quip, but we are a more refined lot here.Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

And I'm all for the way that you have led the skirting board lines out to the lower corners, and the centralisation of the arch and the ceiling lines, but the lights either need to be more a part of the finished image by having more detail within them (I presume that there is also one above the nude?) (can the lights be dimmed?) or switched off all together to then rely on the use of various lighting sources in and about the doorway beside the lady.

Re: Anita and the Cat - Art Nude
I'm in the interesting idea - but too flawed to quite work camp.
The burn from the midway light is too extreme, I really don't believe it'll print as anything other than a large area of blank paper.
You were not quite square to the corridor/end wall, or and/perhaps not level (look at the ceiling).
I have my doubts about the cat, I wonder if it has wheels, and I'm not sure where/why it's in the composition.
The idea of the simple nude captured within the converging lines is appealing, I hope you capture that shot.
Sorry
Nick

Re: Anita and the Cat - Art Nude
I would have liked to see more detail in the chandelier and maybe a slightly lower view point would have worked better for me.
Also maybe taking the doorway on the left out to keep things symmetrical would have worked.
Also that cat has the longest tail and biggest ears I've ever seen.
Thanks for posting
Steve

Re: Anita and the Cat - Art Nude
I am not a fan of nudes really - having said that this is subtle and not in your face and very Artistic
Scrolling up and down, I do think Pauls suggestion (vis the blown light sector) would improve the image as it it adds little if anything (other than the function of illuminating your nude (as studio lights would - but would we include them?)
Thanks for sharing - it is a very interesting shot in all ways!.
