A plant with Many (common) names. I was inspired to add this post after seeing Ian's post, "Plucky".
Cymbalaria muralis, commonly called ivy-leaved toadflax[3] or Kenilworth ivy,[4] is a low, spreading, viney plant with small purple flowers, native to southern Europe. It belongs to the plantain family (Plantaginaceae), and is introduced in North America, Australia, and elsewhere. The flower stalk is unusual for seeking light until it is fertilized, after which it grows away from the light. Other names include coliseum ivy,[4] Oxford ivy,[4] mother of thousands,[4] pennywort,[4] and wandering sailor.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cymbalaria_muralis
Further refence.
CYMBALARIA MURALIS: IVY-LEAVED TOADFLAX, IVYWORT, KENILWORTH IVY, COLISEUM IVY, OXFORD IVY, MOTHER OF THOUSANDS, MOTHER OF MILLIONS, THOUSAND FLOWER, PENNYWORT, WANDERING SAILOR, AARON’S BEARD, PEDLAR’S BASKET, RABBITS, RUINE-DE-ROME (FRENCH), ZIMBELKRAUT (GERMAN), MUURLEEUWENBEK (DUTCH).

Anyhow .....
.... it certainly has gone rampant around our house & garden!
We are also overdue to clean up our property too, but won't be clearing it from our garden, just areas where it shouldn't be, as is obvious further down.

However, we also have Australian Native Violet (Viola hederacea) spreading beautifully too, but it doesn't climb though & here they are growing together.

And here.

A part of the spreading Australian Violet in our yard.
