    Spring in Texas

    This is my favorite time of year in Texas. In spite of the unsettled weather, we have generally nice temperatures and an abundance of wildflowers.

      Lovely spring photos.

      The butterfly looks like what we’d call a Clouded Yellow over here, that is the European species. My google search turned up this one for North America

      We have just started to do our weekly butterfly survey counting walks so I have butterflies on the brain!

          All very nice. I believe Bill has correctly identified your Butterfly as an Orange Sulphur.

          Correct genus (Colias) but the many European ones are difficult to identify and I suspect there are even more in America.
