At last there has been some suitable weather to go out and shoot flies. These are all stacked images taken with my OM-1 and 90mm macro, and processed in Zerene Stacker. I used a monopod and supporting stick to steady the camera, and natural light.
The success rate using the 90mm macro is significantly higher than I experienced with the 60mm macro, mainly I think due to the faster focusing reducing the chance of any movement spoiling the stack. Of course the slightly greater stand-off distance, improved stabilisation and sharpness can't do any harm.
