I used it for a similar moon shot with a plane to find the aircraft type. I've been meaning to try for a similar shot as we get loads of aircraft from Luton and Stansted over us now, there has to be some advantage to it to offset the noise disturbance...

Well caught! You were lucky! - Or is that just very well organised? Still, a great shot. I am very envious.
Regarding the aircraft....... Looking at that bulge towards the bottom of the tail suggests to me that it may be a trijet such as a McDonnell Douglas MD-11. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_MD-11).

. I was using the 150-600 at full stretch so actually spotted the plane fly across in the evf.
