  • few from this morning storm Kathleen high tide

a mix of OM1 and 1.phone shots from this mornings storm Kathleen 34 foot high spring tide . some shots enhanced .. a 30 sec. dash out of the car to grab a shot was pushing the limits at times the black object in the water in front of the picnic benches is a wood bench ,one of 3 where I sit for my low level gull shots . at least one of the three was last seen heading downtide for Dublin the castle moat with the geese is normally a grass play area

Interesting - I thought to myself that some of these shots weren't up to your usual standards - some halos, for example, but these were the ones taken on an iPhone - explains it all.

Yea the only camera shot was the oystercatchers Ian .. and that’s a sky replacement one .. .total mayhem up here . New £20 million pound seawall at west Kirby got overtopped and just held the water behind it , loads of cars washed away .. someone’s gonna get told off

What happened to that sea colour Jeff?

Very wind here too, and with the Spring Tide, our Natutre Trail has wet feet...........

I wondered about the sea colour too and he's not in a Thames Water area either!

It’s the sand being churned up by the sea mark .bit overcooked but not far off it

I suspect that the water colour was caused by Guinness having been swept away from the brewery in St. James Gate in Dublin and diluted in the Irish sea.

If you look in the second shot the bench is just in front of the fisher lady statue being swept out

I'm glad you have confirmed that is a statue. I was worried about her!
