I do look for other things that catch my eye sometimes as well ,so heres a couple from last weeks dash round north Wales , Conway castle and a washed up boat/ship-wreck

Very few castles of note here in Australia. Port Arthur in Tasmania is fairly historic, but we have very few old buildings in Queensland. The modern bridge structure in Jeff's photo does spoil the view, but I mentally (and subconsciously) erased it from my view. In other words, I didn't notice it, because it shouldn't have been there. 😉
What really irritates me is that, during my only visit to Wales in July 2016, I was within crawling distance of that castle and didn't visit it!

heres the local pad taken with a fisheye lens . flint castle the first of Edward longshanks ring of castles to quell the rebellious welsh , the tower in the foreground is the donjon where we get the word dungeon from and held a king Richard the 3rd after his defeat
