That is, the White-headed Pigeon, a native bird in Australia that I hadn't noticed around here for some years until I photographed one a few days ago, but today I found four resting in the privet tree on our boundary (on the neighbours side of the fence but dropping thousands of seeds our side
). These birds have taken a liking to some introduced trees like privet & camphor laurel instead of the natural Australian food. I don't really blame them because I like pizza too.
First I noticed one through the leaves.

Then there was another over to the left.

And then a third one showed up.

But wait, I see another hiding behind the leaves.

With this showing how they were sitting (not including the one still over to the left).

E-M1 II & MC20 + 40-150 f2.8 lens.
These birds may have thought they found new territory, but they will find several other birds have already been tucking into the fruit of these trees when in fruit.
Thanks for indulging me & looking.
