    Lovely photos Ross. I have a banksia tree in my front yard and the little rainbow lorikeets make short work of the blooms. I always try to take photos of them, but the little birdies keep hiding behind blooms and branches and leaves.

      This is the parent Little Wattlebird of a young one which wasn't in view as I was taking these shots, but the banksias aren't flowering at the moment (B. Serrata, B. aemula, B. Integrefolia plus the B. spinulosa). Right now I was pleased to get some rain & thankful there isn't a fire threatening us & so got out to grab these photos. The Wollemi fire is quite large to the north of us though.

        The rainbow lorikeets are easy meat for photos, they are just amazing birds. And the gum tree in flowers is super, a perfect storm so to speak....Lovely photos Ross....
