  • Out on a limb

We left Snaar towers in the gentle care of Scrollocks the footman and took a break in Bedfordshire#

In the spirit of "taking a picture on the first day of the holiday".. here's one I hand held for one whole second.

Ok, it was stabilized by the camera and three glasses of red wine...

So better if you had cropped out above a line from top left corner of pool to other side = 'gradients in blue'. Bugger you for the warmth - it's raining here

Yes, we drove to Gatwick in fog at 2 am and 9 degrees. Later that same day we get off the plane to 28 degrees. Both are considered normal for late September.

In that case I think Britain has a design flaw...

I think we caught them on the hop at the hotel.

The room was definitely not ready...

That pool sure looks distorted after 3 glasses of red.

Well, if you hadn't left poor old Scrollocks looking after the mansion and treated him to a flight he would have had the room sorted in jiffy.

Hmm. Well he doesn't do much around the house anyway. I'm considering promoting the gardener..

Meanwhile I decided to bring just two lenses thus time. I have the magnificent 7-14 and the mundane 40-150.

              More pictures later folks..

You can't beat a little bit of Mediterranean blue and white minimalism..

Reminds me of One Foot in the Algarve when Victor rented something similar. Peter Cook played a paparazzi trying to get a roll of film back.

Some of my birding friends used to call me Victor Meldrew for my ability to fly off the handle at a moments notice.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

This is well out on a limb.

First of all, I didn't have my Oly camera with me.. secondly coming across this on a deserted beach is bizzare and more than slightly worrying.
