    Things not to do with your camera:
    1 :- Visit a dusty grass track [Speedway] meeting in hot and dusty SW France.
    Oly M1/1 and Oly 75-300mm/ii
    [My M1/1 seems to have survived!]

    A nice catch!

    The main approach I have for situations like that. Don't change the lens!

        I agree entirely, but even if grit and dust does not get inside the camera, it certainly can make all the external controls on the body and on the lens all gritty and grindy and not very nice. I really considered hosing the body down but decided carefull use of a soft brush was a safer option to remove the dust.
        But photography in such conditions from outside of the circuit is near impossible anyway simply because the dust cloud obscures everything.
