Yesterday I gave in and splashed out on a new E-M1 MkII. My finances are going to be a bit hair raising for the next few months but so far I am absolutely delighted with it. I spent most of today trying to make sense of the online manual and setting it up. Blimey it's complicated!
This evening I put the 75-300 II on and headed out to the garden to point it at any birds which might appear. Bearing in mind that I don't really know what I am doing and I am sure the camera is not set up properly yet I am quite pleased with the results. I have obviously got a huge amount to learn but I am quite encouraged. It actually feels as if it could work for BIF shots, unlike my MkI version, and the autofocus is lightning fast.
These are jpegs as I believe my copy of Lightroom 5 won't support the raw files from the MkII. I will have to find a way round that even if it means resorting to DNG Converter.
