I was lucky enough to encounter a herd of Elks this morning at Sprague Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Here's a few:

Spraque Lake is a beautiful place. It's not a natural lake, having been created by a certain Abner Sprague who setup a resort in the early 19th century. A man ahead of his time. Here's a general shot of the lake:

Incidentally, this last shot was taken using the LiveTime function on the E-M1 with a 10-stop ND filter on the lens. It's quite a superb feature since it lets you view the image as the exposure proceeds. In this shot, the sky was much brighter than the foreground, so I held a black bag in front of the lens to dodge out the top of the image for about 80% of the exposure time. I just waited until the bottom was well exposed then I removed the bag and let the sky come into play. A really nice feature and one of the reasons I love Olympus cameras.
