From elsewhere in that neck of the woods. Masada. Incredible fortress stronghold. Not suitable for vertigo sufferers.
As to movement restrictions, well yes. The rules change by the hour here. We are based in the Palestinian part so you really get a flavour of the less reported side.
Anyway - the place is weird. It was all security and restrictions on Friday morning which causes friction. By Friday afternoon the army has gone and folks are having picnics. Weird.

A brave choice for a holiday, Pete, but it is certainly steeped in history and it is providing you with some unusual photo opportunities. It all looks a bit bleak to me, in more ways than one, but that is part of the fascination.John
