  • Father vs. Daughter Shootout

Last Tuesday Tina and I headed for the "Warbies" where the bushland is ablaze with colours of Spring.
Like all good duellists we chose our own weapons, Tina opted for her deadly 16 megapixel GalaxyS5 smartphone,
whilst I chose the XZ2 over my 8 megapixel iPhone6 to avoid being gunned down by superior firepower!

This was where it began; not at just ten paces but at least six thousand paces to the lookout and back (6km) where there could be only one victor!
    1.

Tina was quick on the draw firing off a burst of shots when she spotted a glorious vine of Hardenburgia
    2.

But she may have missed her Mark (get it? ) who held his fire for a closer shot.
    3.

Then I was thinking, Wattle I shoot next?
    4.

When afore long I stumbled upon some Grevillea almost losing my aim ...
    5.

Pangarang Lookout whereupon I realised my pride had been seriously wounded by a sharpshooting protagonist
    6.
Hopefully soon (if we can recover her forgotten forum password), Tina will no doubt want to tell you her side of the encounter and you'll be the referee!

I'll be interested to see Tina's side of it and I'm expecting a close contest!

I think I got gunned down, John!

Her Melbourne pics taken this week are also ready for posting (for that shoot I just held her bag!)

I think it was vice versa, Alf, but you'll see for yourself once Tina recovers her password!

Well I must say I have some decent results from my S5 mini which has an inferior camera to the S5 but I still prefer the XZ-1

They look like winner shots to me! If only our hardenbergiers will grow as well as that! Some are doing OK & we're planting more mauve & white ones (as twin plantings), here's hoping they will do well & that grevillea looks very much like the latest we've bought (I don't know the name as I'm in bed now).

If I learnt anything by it Terry, it is that it must soon be time for this ole gunslinger to hang up his shootin' irons!

I know what you're saying, Alf. Looking closely at the smartphone images I see they lack the IQ of dslr's with lowerpixel counts.

Thanks Ross. This spring the wildflowers are really glorious, they seem to have benefitted by all the rain. Tina brought a small Hardenbergia home for me to plant in the backyard ... I'm not sure if it will survive though.

It's half a huge Chicken Wrap shared with Tina, Ian ... hot when we bought it at Southern Cross but cold by the time we had lunch on the train.
