  • The Last Bit of Autumn Colour

Our Japanese Maples are sheltered & late to turn into Autumn colours but this last bit is still showing its best now we are in winter.

As you can see, it is the last bit! The last bit of this tree.

But it does add a bit of nice colour in Winter though.

And so does this Zygocactus that had been trimmed back by the destructive cockies earlier this year.

Normally Autumn colours are seen around early May, like this one across the street from us (no, the car isn't related to the area but they did do our kitchen many years ago).

And this other one (the next day).

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks. I kept the best for last out of those three.

What's scary for us is the extreme heat that we can get during October & then winter returns at the end of October, even with more snow on the high country. Unfortunately it was those conditions that was so devastating back in 2013 & they're predicting less rain this year until the end of summer (early 2016).
