I am visiting Sandra at Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC (about 55km from Melbourne) ...
Yesterday we lunched at a Frankston Hotel by a big picture window overlooking the canal.
1.
She is being well cared for by her sister and B-I-L
2.
Set against a brooding sky over Frankston Beach and Port Phillip Bay
3.
That's great news. Thanks for bringing us up to date, Mark, and give her my best wishes.

That's very nice to see Sandra looking good & much improved on what she must have been. Looks don't tell everything & I hope she is doing OK & wish her well.
Thanks for showing us these & for the update.

Really good to hear Mark. And please pass on our good wishes to her. She is one lucky lady I think! Her love of an active life and tenacious spirit has no doubt stood her in good stead throughout this recent ordeal. We hope she will be "back on the road" again soon.
Ed, John, Ross, Andrew, Peter,Lyn, and Phill - thanks for your good wishes to Sandra who has asked me to pass on her thanks to you all.
I drove home to Wangaratta today, a 350km trip from the Mornington Peninsula. The last time I saw 'Sandy' was about 7 weeks ago in the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital at the time of the aneurysm. Having spent the past two days with her I can tell you that she's in great shape and has evidently survived the ordeal miraculously intact.
Our intrepid lady traveller who migrated from Bexhill-upon-Sea, Sussex soon after the war has asked me to assist in selecting some of her pictures to post here on forum. I have seen very few of the thousands she took during her solo 12 months tour of Australia and they are of exceptional quality. You will be just as impressed with her work as I am. Her images will be posted under her own username, Sandra in a day or two.
Good to hear that Sandra is on the mend Mark, I missed your other post as I haven't been on the site so much of late but having scanned through I can see this must have been a worrying time. Best wishes to all.

That's the best news, Mark - so pleased to hear that Sandra's recovery has been good and relatively quick. I guess much of that is down to the prompt treatment she received in Brisbane, as well as her own spirit and tenacity. Look forward to seeing some pix of her trip in due course.
