I was surprised what one-day does to leaf color. I went back out to get some more leaves and the trees that I used the day before had turned completely brown. I found another type of tree with a nice red color pattern, and a bush with bright yellow leaves. The picture you see is on the light box again, and I put the yellow leaves behind the red one to have a background that wasn't yellow from the gel on the light box. I cut the yellow leaves slightly larger than the space, so it went under the red leaf a little. This produced a nice shadow effect that gives it a 3-D look. This ended up being frustrating, keeping six leaves lined up correctly. I would get all but one of the leaves perfect, and then moving this one into place would move something else and the yellow gel would show though.
One nice thing by putting the leaves on the gel was that I could move the leaves into different positions and not disturb them.
