  • Look what crawled in under the door

Luckily we noticed it before crunching it up.

It is the scorpion migration season we are told.

Big stinger + small claws = . Happily ours are too small to be a problem!

Thankfully we only get spiders at this time of year!

          Nice photo of it.

We found one on the pillow of our daughter's bed soon after we moved into our new house (24 years ago). I picked it up with a pair of pliers & put it in a container. It's something I wasn't expecting here either, although I don't think it was dangerous but might have been painful though.

Does it sting - probably - we did not test out it's tolerance to being handled.

Not a small scorpion more of a small mid size one, we have seen some much smaller and one larger one on another occasion.

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

OMG I live in Hampshire but never seen one of those. Do they really live in Hampshire?

Did a quick search & found this

Derek, I think you were wise not to put the sting theory to the test!

I'm not sure whether I'd find the small or large scorpions the most worrying. Obviously the larger ones are more fearsome, but at least you stand a better chance of spotting them!

I never thought I'd say it, but I'm glad I don't live in Hampshire!

That b*gg*r looks like it might bring the odd cat in, or at least a kitten!

I dunno, some people do like to exaggerate!

Hampshire, I thin - but Derek lives not too far from a few "animal places" where they have "Creatures" as this ... so it could have been an escapee
