Three from our late afternoon walk near Bix (south Oxfordshire) yesterday.

Deer roaming free (E-M1 & 75-300 MK2)


One of our favourite views which you are greeted to after following a path through woodland. This is a thirteen shot panorama stitched with ICE (E-M1 & 12-40)


Finally a gnat? homes in on one the remaining rapeseed flowers (E-M1 & 12-40)

The viewpoint for the deer makes it a different type of deer image. Hard to believe you've got rape in flower, it will be weeks before it's flowering around here.

You caught the deer at just the right moment. That pano is magnificent, what a wonderful view! Good timing again with the gnat.

Well Huw, the gnat is just brilliant. The pano is deft and the deer are just lovely. I note the vigilance of the middle one who realises how delicious they are. Good to see you keeping up with the walking mate. Cheers

Hi David, thanks for the comments, yes around our way the fields of rape are losing their flowers rapidly now.

Thanks John, I did reel off quite a number of the deer shots, with this particular one was I fortunate as it had some added interest.
Speaking with my brother in law this afternoon I'm assured that the insect is from the wasp family, all be a very small example.

Thanks Mark, to be honest the 'gnat' was very much a chance shot as I hadn't spotted it when shooting the rapeseed flowers.
Trying our best to keep up the walking, especially nice when the weather was like yesterday's.
