Adelaide, South Australia - North Terrace Buildings
Hi Ann1e, when one is in Melbourne one spends most of one's time dashing to cover to escape the showers!
Adelaide enjoys a true Mediterranean Climate.
St Kilda Beach. Oh dear. I bet you loved Glenelg!
Hello again Lyn - I certainly did love Glenelg but my favourite - if a little further out of the city (well a lot further out actually) - was Victor Harbor and the walk across to Granite Island and then the Coorong. No doubt Mark will put this down to the fact that it is closer along the coast to Melbourne! My cousin's wife has a brother and a sister living in Moana and some of the beach areas around there are also very good.

Hi Annie -
Soon after we met Janette and I bought a block of land at Moama that we had planned to build on until Janette saw Melbourne.
But the enlightenment didn't stop until I took her to the jewel in the crown (viewed upside down) of Australia, TASMANIA!
And you may have missed my reply to yours in thread #11.
Hi Annie -
And you may have missed my reply to yours in thread #11.
Slap wrist for me Mark - I did read your reply and then promptly left the computer and went off to do something really interesting - like ironing - and didn't get back to the thread!
We were actually in St Kilda when the storm struck so I guess it was St Kilda pier rather than either Mornington or Sorrento. I just googled the area and that pier seems to lead down to a Pavilion which I seem to remember was our refuge!

"Tell me about it!"
St Kilda pier like Uluru or Big Ben is so iconic that I never thought to shoot it so the thread must remain un illustrated.
Thanks Annie.
0435 AEST Still in bed on my back on the BlackBerry!
Edit: After hours of messing, finally got the code and quote tags right

I wonder if you saw the beautiful bay at Port Elliot! Very close to Victor, which is a great favourite with visitors and South Aussies alike. I must get down to Victor and take some shots - just for you. My childhood years were spent at Port Elliot, and it holds a special place in my heart.
Victor is called "God's Waiting Room" as there are so may retirees there and of course during holiday periods the population swells.
Unlike Melbourne, Adelaide has many clean beaches within an hour of the CBD.
