    Derek,

You have a great set of images here and I really love the shot of the Lancaster with the clouds behind.

What was the body & lens combo you used for these?

        Nice Derek,

I have never used 4/3rd but heard & read AF is fast and accurate as well as good for AFC and follow focus as your great images prove.

I wonder if Oly will release a new E series this year as a little overdue?

I am hoping so, as although a like the E-5, don't mind the weight find the handling great, the sensor is way behind the OMD. I don't own any m4/3 so pinning my hopes on a body to get the best out of the Olympus SHG lens.

It's surprising how many air shows there are around the country and we are getting some wonderful pictures on the forum just lately. These are no exception, Derek, and it looks like you enjoyed a splendid display. My favourite is the Lancaster approaching at an angle against the clouds. The light makes it very dramatic and you've caught just the right amount of prop blur. A special shot in my opinion.

Every one a winner Derek, absolutely amazing. Now I know I need to practise more, thanks for the inspiration. Have to admit the Lanc is my favourite too.

Thanks all for the comments, it was a good day mostly sunny. I picked the Lanc shot as I thought it had impact and the raw file needed very little work.
There is a Airshow at East Kirkby the home of Lancaster "Just Jane". But as I have booked to do a photo shoot there the following week I don't think I will be able to do it.
Also my E-5 has gone back to the service centre as they didn't fix it properly the first time.

Very nice set indeed. That is some lens I reckon.
Impressive angles as well; really excellent.

We normally have 2 near us, RIAT being the main one and normally one at Kemble that is mainly aimed at aircraft of the 60's and earlier so props and then Venom, Valiant, Vulcan, Meteor, Hunters, Jet Provost and others.

Alas, this year it did not happen apparently due to "Restructuring of the Management Team".........just hope it is back in 2014 as it is well attended and a superb venue.

We lost Elvington a few years ago, I think it became too expensive to run. It was a good August Bank Holiday show.
I will watch the Vulcan Twitter feed and go down to Finningley to see it take off.
