It's a risky place this dog's water bowl! 
This beetle wasn't in a rip, but just couldn't swim through this stuff or find a way out.

So I rescued him (her?).

Meanwhile, Toby (our Foxy Pug) was too busy 'day dreaming' to notice a beetle was having a paddle in his water bowl.

Oh No! Not another in difficulty again!

Rescued again!

Trying to dry off while negotiating a hairy forest.

Now happy outside on a Gardenia leaf.

Let's take a closer look to see if he's happy (a crop of the above photo).

"Oh, look out for that hungry spider!"

Ah, he's seen it & will stay clear of that 'hungry spider'.
