The third is a quality image - the first two just "enhance the narrative"
This darling Baby Hedgehog, less than 4 inches long, extended was out on our front lawn last Friday
It was bitterly cold and he seemed to be hunting food. Greenthumb have recntly 'tined' and scarrified the green stuff and so access to worms was quite easy

However, we put out Cat Food (Chicken in Jelly goes down very well
) ... in a dish under a small tree for the many hedgehogs we hear and see in the garden
this little chap I have captured "tongue out"
with much glee
It was a dark, dreary November day ... light was poor - but the children noticed him scurrying about the garden and under a step

Her came out again the next day ... and I dared to use the flash ... did you know Hedgehogs have BLUE Eyes
- we were concerned he has "no fat" for Hibernation - so we picked him up and placed him in a box full of shavings and shredded paper and hope he survives
