Thanks! He is a very photogenic dog.

I wondered about that too. You kind of imagine some vintage car to be kept in there, don't you? I expect the reality is more mundane, though.

Thanks! Very true what you say about shooting in B&W.

Thanks for the suggestion, John. Is this the kind of thing you meant?

No 1 if my favourite as an artistic shot, followed closely by the dog (he looks great) but highlights a bit blown on my monitor?
Glad someone else likes the first shot! Do you mean blown highlights on the dog? There were some in the original RAW file (that's what you get for having a partly white dog!) but I reduced the highlights in Lightroom and there aren't any showing on the histogram.

That's exactly what I had in mind, Roger. I think it looks great.

Thanks. Probably ought to clone out the can and the paper cup from the foreground too...

Sorry for that comment (blown highlights)...I should have taken account of the small monitor I'm using which is not so good.

No problem, Brian. I have been known to post photos with blown highlights before so it's always worth checking.

The picture of Tim is great. B&W gives it a dog's view of a dog. He certainly is a handsome chap.

#1 stands out to me too, something pleasing about it which I can't put my finger on

Thanks. B&W does seem to suit him. He's always been quite a character. He's getting quite geriatric now, nearly 13 which is quite old for a greyhound.

Looks good, and shows the camera can still be active when the weather isn't being kind!

Indeed, most people seem to think they are difficult to look after and need lots of exercise, which of course is definitely not true. Really hoping we don't have to make a heart breaking decision with ours. His back legs keep giving way under him and the vet has said there's nothing they can do about it.

Thanks - I think in a way helps to make you more creative when circumstances are against you.
