  • A Slight Breeze

There is just a little bit more than a breeze around today with a few slightly disturbing gusts (from the NW). This is our large(ish) gum tree (Eucalyptus scoparia) in our front yard with some slight bending.

    Taken with E-M5 & 12-50 lens.

Hope you are enjoying some pleasant weather where you are. It is supposed to be the end of Winter here but the temperature is getting up to 25 degrees (& 27 in the west of Sydney), which is quite high for this time of the year, but should return to 18 degrees tomorrow.

Ross, one seldom sees wind captured so adroitly as you have done here.

The picture makes me nervous about being hit by a falling limb !

We have had wind - thunderstorms as well - but not your temperatures. Only 16 here today - but 16 mms of rain. All good before a dry and hot summer.

See, Olympus cameras are so good they can photograph the wind.

Thanks Mark. I thought it was worth capturing & that's also why I decided to move my car.

We had the storm afterwards & it is cooler now & will remain that way for some days. I'm not looking forward to a hot dry summer though.

Yes, as if by magic & they can photograph the rain too.

          And after the rain....

Thanks Ross. Your photo made me shiver.
After soaking up the Qld sunshine (26 degrees this am) we are heading for SA (11 degrees and hail this am). I think two more days of travelling will see us back in fleecies!

Sorry Lyn, but at least you weren't in Prospect Adelaide yesterday. See this news report. The wild winds were a little wide spread & (some of) Sydney's Northern Suburbs are still without power today. I hope that when you get back home that you feel that it is 'home, sweet home'.

we watched it run down mountains, and we got nothing, just high wind. Said this morning on the news that about a few thousand have no power.

Thanks for the link Ross. Scary stuff, storms like that.
I hope that when we get home - home is still there.
