This pic was taken by the wife of colleague of mine on his front deck on a busy road - Brisbane Avenue - within about 500 metres of Parliament House.

Talk about the bush capital. Wanted to share their very good luck. This is called a Gang Gang and is the insignia used by the ACT Environment Department.

I hjave to say that though I'm not usually into bird photos this is much better than how I misread the title lol

No, you're not. It was quite a relief when I saw the image. A nice shot of a colourful and exotic looking bird.
