Now that's an impressive vista! Out of interest, was this taken using a tripod? Or are you good at turning on your nodal point ?
        All the best,

How do you get a sky with colour like that?, filters?, or multiple exposures?.

          regards ewan.

I was definitely using a polariser for some of the shots on that day, so that could be it. I did also manipulate the donor images a fair bit in Lightroom

WOW Ian, that's an impressive shot indeed, loving it - making me envious of your trip. Can't wait to see more from the trip now.

Thanks Phil. I did use a tripod, but the camera wasn't turning on strictly on its nodal point, or if it was, it was a fluke . I was using a ball head with the camera turned on its side. The camera was attached via its HLD-4 grip, so it was quite far off the turning axis.

I used a 14-35, @14mm and used five shots, with the same exposure. I processed one frame in Lightroom and then synchronised the adjustments of all five and exported to Photoshop CS3 where I used Photomerge to stitch the five shots together. Photomerge is not regarded as a very good stitcher, but it has improved over the years and I'm very pleased with the result here.

Thanks John. I won't have time to shape-up all my shots as I'm off on another trip tomorrow for three days, but I should be able to get a few others done before I go. I'm still working on getting my laptop fixed too
