  • San Francisco Bay

This is from the north looking south, and the Golden Gate would be off to the right. My home is on one of those floating boats down there, which is where I'm sitting at this very moment, as the rain beats down overhead...

What a great place to live - I guess it has to rain most places some of the time I look forward to some more posts as the sun comes out.

Beautiful place. We were there in June last year, took a trip to Sausalito and Muir woods... WALKED across the Golden Gate Bridge (that was scarey with the bikes weaving in and out of the walkers as fast as they were going.)

Its a shame that humans dont come with autofocus, like cameras do!

We visited almost 3 years ago now. Really enjoyed it. I was wondering where this is in relation to Vista Point?

We had a fantastic burger on sourdough bread in Sausalito. It's still the best burger I've ever had!

I look forward to seeing more shots of your locality!

Nice view, Stewart - brings back memories of our trip to California in 2004 for our son's wedding in San Diego. We then spent some time touring and had a few days in San Francisco, where our son's sister-in-law teaches. Our son and family are on holiday in Huntington Beach at present staying with his in-laws.

We also did the trip to Sausalito and Muir Woods but we crossed the GG Bridge on bikes and, boy, were the pedestrians a nuisance! Only joking, of course, and having bikes and walkers on the same stretch is scary.

Thought I'd round this out by adding something for those who have fond memories of walking across. I also walked across, on my way home, dodging bicycles and pedestrians alike. Due to construction, all bike and foot traffic is routed to the east side, so it's lovely mayhem out there in the middle. Oh, should add: is one of the first photos with my new E-1...
