We were glad that whoever this seat was designed for didn't happen along whilst we were there.
Taken atop the L/out over Broken Hill. NSW.
Australia has a great collection of "Big" tourist attractions. Bananas, Oranges, Koalas, Sheep, etc, even Ned Kelly.
Feel free to add to the collection.

Lyn, Love this great fun havin massice items ... In Texas they do this too I saw a Jack Rabbit much bigger than this bench ... it would have made a great Pie for Desperate Dan and all his family

Just a bit of fun this one - had to talk a little hard to get Neil to sit on it!
In the SE of our state we have the Giant Lobster. Bright orange and rather horrific! I would have loved to see the Jack Rabbit!

Chris, I did indeed check him out. Just fascinating and beautiful work. I especially liked the spoon bridge with cherry!

Haha, great fun! It creates an illusion, making the viewer think the person is small rather than the bench being big!

Very nice Lyn. It is one of the sights that has to be on the list to visit if in Broken Hill (so I'm told as I haven't gone yet) as my eldest daughter, Marita lives & teaches there (with her husband). My son & youngest daughter helped them unpack when they first moved there & did the sight seeing thing while they were there.

My wife & I will be out there later this year once the first grand child is born, if all goes well with Marita's pregnancy.

Mine would have looked better if we could have moved the bricks placed so you could climb onto the structure, but they were too heavy!
You will enjoy BH. It is so different to other Oz towns and great photo ops.
First grandchild - how exciting. I was not looking forward to being a granny, but believe me a whole new world will open for you and it is lovely!
