Are you sure it was the 12-60 you used (86mm, 86mm and 150mm in the EXIF)?
I find the light shining through the leaves in the third picture very nice.

I like Number 2 : the autumn leaves. Almost touchable.

Love the leaves and the Hellebore, nice images. We'll see plenty of leaves soon but will have to wait till early next year for the Hellebores.

Kees, thanks for drawing my attention to the misquoted lens, it was indeed the 40-150mm kit lens that came bundled with the E-520 years ago. That lens never ceases to surprise me. I will ask admin to ammend the title.

And yes, I like #3 for its backlighting.

I also like the unpretentious style of your SmugMug pictures.

Thanks Ulfric. I was quite surprised to see such a carpet of pristine autumn leaves this week in Albury's Botanic Gardens as we are already into spring.

Thanks - I confess that I am botanically illiterate, David and as I have no brain for remembering names, am likely to remain so I'm afraid. so I'll guess that #3 is the Hellebore.

Nice Spring & Autumn shots Mark. That 40-150 lens seems to perform quite well on the E-PL1. I guess the Autumn & Spring appearances are due to the variable weather (creating some seasonal confusion with the plants) & from what I gather from the forecasts, the weather is going to return to Winter very soon as snow is predicted up here this weekend. Ah well, I've been enjoying some nice Spring weather this week while it was here.

Those are very, very clear shots. I presume (?) it was the Mk1, f3.5 lens? Did you use manual focus?

I would like a dollar for each time the forcasters got it wrong, Ross. I often wonder whether the only piece of equipment the Met Bureau are missing is a window!

Yes, and thanks Stephen, it was the F3.5- 5.6 Mk1, but I'm afraid that my eyes are way past MF. These are all AF.

That lens autofocuses so well, I'm always pleased with mine.

Oooh, now then, number 2 is most certainly a deserving desktop wallpaper. That's a smasher!

Stunning clarity Mark, your skills are here for all to see as well as a kit lens with quality other manufacturers can only struggle to meet.

Thanks for the lavish compliment, Huw but I have to say that most of the credit belongs to the equipment which has amazed me.
