  • Portmerion in infrared

A couple of weeks ago I was on a coach trip to N.Wales and one of the places visited was Portmerion. Here are my infrared images taken with my E-510 converted camera. My colour images were taken with a Panasonic LX5,so I take it that I am not permitted to show these
Do hope you like them. Keith.

A super series Keith, it certainly gives a different and striking perspective on Portmerion
Looks like you had ideal weather, sadly last time we visited it was chucking it down for most of the day

Superb series. Might I suggest you send two or three to the Portmeirion management - they may be interested in purchasing

        Excellent set Keith.

I've stayed at Portmeirion several times and it's a great place to take pictures. When the day visitors leave around 6pm the place becomes even more magical and residents have the place to themselves - and there are many many hidden photogems which you'd never find on a day trip. Your photos have managed to capture some of that magic even though you were there on a day trip with not much time. The infra-red works superbly - I'd never have though of it.

Your photos bring back really nice memories. I too think that Portmeirion's management could be very interested in these. Do yourself a favour and book a few days in Portmeirion - love to see your photos if you do.

        Well done

Number 2 looks like Tuscany, or one of those Italian mountain villages.

These IR photos look great & the subject matter is a beautiful setting too.

                Thanks for showing.

I think it would be interesting to see a couple of the colour photos from the LX5 to see the difference from colour to IR.

Keith, whatever makes you think that? This is a forum for E-System users and enthusiasts, yes, but there is no rule that you have to exclusively use Olympus, it's also a photography forum.

Make sure you post some colour shots from the LX5 ASAP - I want to see them!
