  • E5,7-14,Worcester cathedral

It was such a gloomy day outside we spent all morning in here.

Camera on the floor looking north.

Looking back towards the south end.

    The choir

E5 on its back on the floor

King Johns tomb,he's the baddie in Robin Hood.

All very interesting,we also went in the library which is well worth the visit if you like documents and books up to about 1000 year old.
    All the best

Very impressive. Looks like a safer place than the other with a massage by Lucy.

        Haha!

Or, on a more sober note, than the cathedral in Christchurch :9

Yes Ian. Over 100 have been confirmed dead so far in Christ Church. It's all somewhat sobering with extreme conditions wreaking havoc around the world (& close to home) & then earhquakes to top it off.

Lovely shots - pin sharp! Sorry to sound pedantic but as Cathedrals were built on an East-West axis (ish), you're north is east, and your west is south. Cathedrals are also great to photograph in the early evening, of course, though without a tripod you have to be inventive with shutter speeds! Incidentally, on the more sober subject, a friend of a friend was helping to dismantle the organ in Christchurch Methodist chuch when the earthquake struck. He was saved becaause the soundboard of the organ fell on him, and he was wearing a hard hat. His two colleagues weren't so lucky, and were both killed. Sobering indeed.

A great set of shots, especially but not exclusively the first.

                          Superb images, well executed.

You must have taken a while setting them up to get them absolutely right.
