I too was of that opinion but this largely was due to the camera ISO performance. The E3 limited me to ISO 800 as a ceiling (ISO 400 being my preferred value). The E5 allows me to use ISO 1600 with reasonable confidence. This lets me shoot in conditions I would never attempted to before. Although luminance noise can be easily be removed the IQ will be degraded. I am getting much less noise from the E5 so thats a good starting point.
    Thanks, Peter.

Having bruised my head on it often I know only too well what you mean about the E3's ISO 800 ceiling, but I am not planning an E5 upgrade.
Once having acquired the 50-200mm (on order) and the 12-60mm my next move will be to MFT, most likely E-PL2

      Thanks for sharing.
      Thank you Greg and Peter

I was lucky with the Kestrel. I have watched several and noted the dive for the prey. Usually this is out of sight and the next time I see the Kestrel it is aloft and hunting again. I think my approach made it seek refuge in the tree. Saw I was still there and then decided to take its prey elsewhere. Yes, out of sight.

Thats not a bad plan. The way things are panning out, it seems Olympus are keen to get MFT to match the E series. Personal preference though, I prefer the larger camera bodies because they give a much more positive grip. Even the weight helps to stop you blowing around in the breeze
