Re: Ashness Bridge
A classic view and you've done it justice. Well composed and restrained HDR treatment. It would be boring if all landscape pictures featured blue sky and fluffy white clouds, this sky does at least have a bit of drama and you might have got away with darkening it a tad more, to make it slightly more menacing. Very nice.John

Re: Ashness Bridge
Yes, an excellent job of the classic view. Glad to see it hasn't changed since 1965 (!) when I went there as a kid

Re: Ashness Bridge
Thanks John, Pete. I think it can be too easy to overdo HDR so I try to keep it subtle so that it looks natural yet just capturing the shadows and highlights.
Cheers,

Yeah, I love that one. Sun can be nice but we aren't seeing much sun in eastern Australia at the moment either.Ross "I fiddle with violins (when I'm not fiddling with a camera)". My Flickr

Re: Ashness Bridge
Very nice processing of the main part of the image but for me the sky is a touch too dark and foreboding and doesn't balance overlly well with the rest of the shot.
Crackin' composition.
Just my opinion you understand.Dave

Re: Ashness Bridge
This has come out very well. Glad to see you've managed to retain some shadows to give feeling. I like the dark brooding skies.Stephen
