  • One bearded dragon up close watched by one dog

Here is a photo of one of our Bearded Dragons up close followed by one of Max our Border Collie (also up close) staring at it. On camera flash was used for both.

Too many late nights with the red eyes

Taken with Sigma 150 macro on an E30

I love the detail I'm getting with this lens.

        Cheers

PS keep fiddling. I started playing folk guitar, Scottish and Irish. Now playing and singing in a band playing Killers, Jam, Clash, Pistols... you name it

Still passionate about the folk scene and traditional music though

It's interesting seeing an Australian Beardy in Scotland. A slightly cooler enviroment for it. One thing to remember is, enough warmth & enough food & it will grow to full size & if less warmth is availaible, less food is consumed & growth slows right down. We managed to prove that in Australia.

About the fiddling, this year has proven to be less fiddling due to distractions of playing with cameras & being on the forums, watching rumours & waiting to see what Olympus was going to come out with. I'm going to Scottish fiddle practice tomorrow (with the Sydney Scottish Fiddlers ( http://www.scottishfiddlers.com/Sydney/ ) after being re-inspired by the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club's ( http://melbournescottishfiddlers.com/ ) performance on tour in NSW this week & the workshop they did with us in Penrith. They/we played together in a big session in the Clarendon in Katoomba Tuesday night & that was a great buzz. I grew up playing classical music for nearly 40 years before I finally got into Scottish (& Irish) fiddling & Australian Bush Band folk stuff.

Photography & music. Two great pleasures in life.

When you said "One Bearded" Dragon I thought there may be "Two Bearded" Dragons It's a nice shot, the colour's great.

Re the Scottish Fiddling diversion, my Glasgow University flatmate from the late 60's married a beautiful lass called Christine who studied at Glasgow Music College. They have a croft on Skye now and Christine is a superb fiddler and one of the the foremost collecters of Scottish dance music, as well as being a teacher.Their publishing company is Taigh na Teud Music, website is http://www.scotlandsmusic.com/ We stayed with them at the croft a couple of years ago and I had a fantastic time playing some music with Christine and quaffing wine. Happy days!

              Thanks.

We do have two Beardies but the other bit the toes off the one in the photo as they were growing up. Obviously too small an enclosure for two growing dragons. I will get a photo of them both as soon as I am able to (this week hopefully) then, maybe with the 2 snakes too. But I have to tidy up our house first seeing as my eldest daughter is visiting us for a few days & I need to show my appreciation to my wife as well for all the money I've spent on cameras, lenses, flashes & accessaries just this year, not to mention what I've spent the previous 2 years. I would still like a few more lenses, but they might remain just a wish list.

I buy music from Christine at Taigh na Teud Music as well as Highland Music Trust & Hardie Press too. It doesn't take long before the stack of music becomes rather high & it's good to be talking to another muso too.

              Cheers
