  • Can anybody identify this?

I was out today visiting a client situated on one of these out of the way small industrial parks and look what I found in the car park
Apparantly there is a chap who sells bits of it for the second hand market from the next door unit, I was told that the wings are 'round the back'! As ever I had my trusty 770SW in my top pocket.

Anyway I am struggling to ID it, so thought I would enlist your help my first thoughts were 'Jaguar' but I really am a bit out of touch on military aircraft, much better at civillian aircraft ID.

    Any thoughts?

Takes me back to my earliest days at work. One of the first aircraft types I worked on as an apprentice back at the Strand road factory in Preston Lancs. As I started on the shop floor the project was coming to a close as production was ramping up for the Tornado aircraft.

Hi Folks, consulted my oracle, AKA Chris round the corner, and the following reply just turned up.

SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1 XX763 constructor's number S.60; First flight, 12th May 1975, delivered 26th June 1975; allocated to 226 Operational Conversion Unit, RAF Losseimouth, Scotland; allocated Air Ministry Maintenance Serial 9009M and moved to 4 School of Technical Training RAF St. Athan as a ground instructional airframe. That was easy, name the three vehicles and country of manufacture in the picture, two were made in the same country.
