it seems subjects are everywhere; we only need to see everyday stuff as a subject.
instead of moaning about the wet and cold up there (as I would
) set up a small window-light studio and find stuff at home/garden/shed or bring stuff home. Don't look at a subject as one "big" thing. Find the small parts that make up that "big" thing. Take a garden spade/shovel; I could think of 1/2 dozen small parts that make up a shade. Handle/bends in metal/handle into the metal/the edge of the blade/torn and worn label/soil on a shiny spade/rust ........... All we need is light/shadow or colours or texture to make a contrast and we have a photo.
Then you might even fiddle around outside the square and your comfort zone when editing the files. Photo of that spade blade and a few photos pasted onto that blade
[what is the proper name for the metal part ... the digging bit of a spade/shovel called??
"set up a small window-light studio" (??) small table or even a chair, some small boxes, some material (bed sheet
) or card, couple of reflectors (anything white, cooking foil, the inside of many cardboard 1 and 2 litre liquid containers are a soft silver
, something dark /non shiny to hold light back. No need to spend money .......... clothes pegs can hold somethings
Enjoy your northern winter
