Hi there Chevvy!

I've taken the week off for my birthday later in the week, so have spent all day decorating - stripping 100 plus years of paint and varnish off our staircase ready for waxing later in the week. 10 stairs done today, another 20 or so to go! On the plus side I do finally get to play with my E-M1 on Thursday , it has been in it's box since Gifford's as it is my birthday present!

Glad to see that you are finally getting to slow down a little, hope that the change of pace will suit you and you can cope not "running on adrenalin" all the time!

Hi Wellyboot - we were selling to Developers who were putting 3 x 1400 sq. ft houses on the nearly half acre site = knock down our sprawling bungalow

I put some washing on this morning and hung it out at lunchtime and left the ironing and housework for another rainy day ... made lots of Christmas cards instead (much more fun)

Nick fed Mr Huggy Henry this morning and tonight, beat me to it and I did not take him for a walk today ... busy making cards and suddenly its dark ... and Nick had poured me a glass of fruit juice (healthy stuff full of anti oxidants = red red wine) and it would have been rude to leave him drinking at home, alone

At least there will be no infilling on your land now!!

Getting ready for a three day stay in the beautiful Coonawarra area of South Australia. One of our leading wine areas - mainly reds.
There will be a little (or just a little more than a little) wine-tasting, open garden visits, shops to peruse, while the fellows have a round of golf.
Retirement - I lurve it Chevvy!

Off to Lincoln today for the LCE camera event, and look around the castle, and Cathedral. Also to ask the Oly reps what they think about the red tint in the EVF and LCD I'm getting when the camera is first switched on.

My 'L' Panel goes in today. Didn't think I was nervous but only got 4 1/2 hours sleep despite staying in a nice B&B just round the corner from the RPS. Thanks to those wishing me luck I need it !

Thanks for asking Ralph. Yes, I made it, it was pretty nerve wracking. I spent the night before in a B&B in Bath. I did not think I was worried about it but only managed 4 hours sleep. Heart rate went up about 20-30 bpm when my panel went up. Somebody I was talking to afterwards said the man in front of her had tears rolling down his cheeks. It is just a hobby after all?! Feeling quite elated about it. I will post my panel over the next couple of days.
