Bit hard for that Ian. I could understand it taking a bit of a while from the States, but they dated it, 23 Oct, one whole month after the compromise.

        Re: A bit late

Can I join in as I'm in the same canoe? In fairness, there are probably millions of letters going out all over the globe so, on the bright side we at least got notified.

Just one of the reasons I use a specific email address for this stuff and a specific account for transactions = minimum to keep it open and no dosh other than in and out for payments.

            Re: A bit late

Probably depends on what preferences you set for your comms with Adobe. I got an email from them a month or so ago and I'd said no to paper mail.

Sorry to go on, but to get "any' communication two months after the event is not on in my book. Adobe deserve a kick up the kyber!

Err, you might want to correct your typo, Dave.

                      Re: A bit late

I got the same and I had selected email communication only. Thought it a bit stupid being so late as I could have been cleaned out by then! However I check my bank accounts online every day so would have quickly discovered any nefarious activity.

It ain't called snailmail for nothing.

If the email accounts etc., have been knobbled then it could prove a useful route for malware to be sent which, for many might have only made things worse. From what I can gather, there is some doubt as to who were affected.

At least with paper there is no way computer virii can get onto your PC. As for other types of virus... always remember to wash your hands afterwards.

                          Mine came by email today.
                          Seems Royal mail is quicker.

                            Re: A bit late

If Adobe sends letters by email they have to get the printer to work first, and to get it to print the letters from the right paper tray at the correct size in the correct orientation. No wonder it took them two months!

But then if they were using Word they wouldn't have any excuses!

Seriously though, I had to take on a project where Adobe InDesign DTP software was being used, and I have to say it is one of the nastiest, most difficult programmes I have ever had to use.

By choice I wouldn't use Adobe programmes at all. At least Microsoft has finally got the message that we don't want bloatware. If only Adobe would follow suit.

(4.5 GB for Acrobat Professional anyone?)

Unfortunately, Photoshop and Acrobat are difficult for me to manage without.

Go Mac and get rid of Acrobat.
