    Ugh!

What happened? I've been stepped on by a Friesian cow (in a crammed milking yard) & they're pretty heavy but didn't suffer that much (it happened in Victoria too).

I can sympathise! It happened to me a number of years ago. That was just before I invested in steel toe caps for yard work!

A clydsdale? No wonder you came off second best!

Many years ago I went pony trekking and tried to control my mount with the reigns, just like the instructor said. The pony wanted to stop at every patch of juicy grass but I wouldn't let him for fear of falling behind the group. When we dismounted for lunch he deliberately placed a hoof on my foot and slowly ground it whilst looking me straight in the eye.

I got the message and for the rest of the day let him do as he wanted, I was just a passenger. He stopped at every patch of jucy grass and just when the group were getting out of sight he would gently trot to catch them up - he knew what he was doing. I suspect he could have taken me arround the route all on his own. My foot hurt for days!

Oooh, ouch! I sympathise - it brings back memories of a similar thing happening to me zillions of years ago at a gymkhana.

            I hope you mend soon.

Well Ross we trot them through a field to get them up on the hill, Lommond aka baby! was not in the mood to "trot up" so I half turn to give him a flick of his halter rope and he decided to get up all by himself and came down on my foot.
Cinders, I usually have them on if we are working them in the yard, Lommond is 3 and still falling aver his feet, and is just on 18 hands and starting to fill out.
Yorky the rest of the body is a bit better kept than the foot.
The wee man one of the first times he had winkers on.
